Couldn't make it up. BBC reports: 'The US and UK F-35s - which were initially scheduled to also take part (in the flypast) - have been forced to stand down due to poor weather.' Just as well it's always sunny when we go to war.
So much wrong with our judicial system - paltry fines, appatently no POCA, suspended prison despite previous offences and it took 7 years to get to prosecution. Waste crime certainly does pay. https://t.co/mrowDHPieI
Suspended jail sentences, paltry fines, 2 years to clear the site - I wonder who will end up picking up the cost. And the previous prison sentence had no effect, so hard to see the two of them not just carrying on. https://t.co/Ff1aGRt62P
Materials Facilities Regulations still on course to come into force on 1 Oct. As if sampling requirements weren't complicated enough, new quarterly return template has been published...... https://t.co/CrHOhWHHts
Strong concern from the glass packaging industry over EPR based fees costs. Eg drinks manufacturer putting 10k tns glass packaging onto UK market will pay c. £300k PRN costs in 2024. In 2025 they will pay £3.3m on higher base fee. If PRNs cost £100/t, they wud pay another £740k.
Defra publishes long-awaited illustrative base fees for consumer packaging in 2025. These will be adjusted once the final 2024 registered data is know in April 2025. Calculations below based on recently published Packflow tonnages https://t.co/yGSY8cz7GW
