From a sweet courtside moment to a graduation party invite ๐๐๐๐
Back in March at the girls state basketball tournament, 8-year-old Maren Peterson asked Jenica Lewis if they could be friends. Last weekend, the JHS basketball star invited Maren and her family to her graduation partyโand surprised her with a signed poster!
The two share something in common, both girls are living with Type 1 diabetes.
Maren's mom tells KCCI that the newfound friendship is simply "amazing." Maren and Jenica will walk together at the Breakthrough T1D Walk in Ankeny on Saturday.

Another Fighting Irish guard that can do a little bit of everything.

Led by McDonaldโs All-American @JenicaRaine10, the Dragons play true team ball. Standouts like @_ariphillips3 and @Jaliyahkinnetz1 are huge college gets, and the young talent is already contributing big time.โ
With the win last night the Dragons won their 70th consecutive game and the 8th straight CIML Title. Johnston outrebounded the Tigers 40-27, went 9/21 from the 3 pt line, and only committed 7 turnovers. Here are some highlights:
