Stacey King a few weeks ago on announcing:
“It’s a fun job, it never seems like work for me. Every night I go to work, win, lose or draw, I’m having fun… one thing I’ve always tried was if you couldn’t come to a Bulls game, you’re entertained on TV.”
This is a message I think everyone needs for their life.
Stacey King has passed away at 59 years old. A three-time NBA champion with the Chicago Bulls across eight NBA seasons after being the No. 6 pick in the 1989 draft, and a beloved broadcaster for the team in his post-playing career.
June is Men's Health Month. Most people know something is wrong, but few know how bad the numbers actually are. As President of @aibm_org — the first national research institute dedicated to boys and men's wellbeing, I need to share what our data shows⬇️
I worked in a suicide call centre for 2 yrs.
99% of the counsellors were females. Many young and naive.
I tracked male calls in the records, average was 8-12min.
Average call for females 28-38 min.
Male callers were referred to other resources immediately. But there are NO male only resources! All calls handled by females had a rushed tone.
JUST IN: Anthropic co-founder Jack Clark reportedly warned new recruits to “get hobbies that aren’t computers,” saying the company is building a “superhuman coder with nation-state hacking capabilities.”
This is staggering –
Of the 369,000 jobs the U.S. Labor Dept. says were created since last year, nearly all - 348,000 of them - went to women, and only 21,000 went to men.
Basically, that means 94% of the net employment growth in the U.S. went to women.
Ninety four percent!
