Registration is now open for The 3929 Foundation’s second annual Clays for a Cause, Shooting Down Cancer clay shooting event October 4th. This years entry fee includes the golf cart. Carts are only guaranteed through Aug 22nd.

On Sunday, April 13th, Corporate Woods will be hosting their 15th annual colon cancer 5K and we would love for you to participate with us on our team! You can choose to run or walk this 5K.

Tonight’s #KUCancerFighter hero is Jackson Layton, a 28-year-old from
Kansas City, KS currently battling Stage 4 colon cancer.

Jackson is a lifelong Jayhawks fan who grew up attending KU Basketball, Football, and Baseball games. He still tunes in faithfully to every game and lists Mario Chalmers as his all-time favorite Jayhawk. His entire family attended KU, but he went to Southern Illinois Edwardsville on a baseball scholarship and played there for four years.

Jackson got his cancer diagnosis just last month and recently began chemotherapy to stop the spread of cancer from his liver and lymph nodes. Though he’s got a long road ahead, he has a determined attitude and positive outlook. He believes he’s been given the platform to make other young people aware of the risk of colon cancer, even at an early age. He encourages early screening so you don’t have to begin your fight at Stage 4 like he’s enduring.

Jackson is resting at home with his wife Hannah tonight, but his mother and two brothers are here representing him.

Jackson, we applaud your courage, determination, and your ambition to provide awareness to others your age. Tonight’s call is for you and we can’t wait to get you back in The Phog soon! 💙❤️
