Congratulations to @RangersFC on their 55th title. In October I wrote this article about why they were well placed to stop a historic ten in a row for Celtic. Read it here:

This rule was introduced in compatibility with VAR. It is easy to judge whether the ball has touched someone’s hand, it is not easy to judge whether it was an accident. While the rule seemed strange, it made sense, and reverting will not make officiating any clearer or easier.
Football will benefit most if viewers and pundits attempt to learn the rules and accept that they are in place and why this is the case. Then we can focus our discussions and analysis on the matches and players themselves, and leave arbitrary, fruitless VAR-based debate behind.

VAR has thrown us into a state of constant rule-analysis, where all narratives around the game are centred around the laws and decisions stemming from them. Just like Wenger’s offside rule proposal, a nature of making, analysing and unmaking rules will solve none of our issues.
In our article last year, which documented the 2007/08 Gunners campaign, we argued that the Eduardo injury was a huge turning point in a season which was full of potential.

#OTD in 2008: Eduardo suffered a horrific broken leg against Birmingham City, which more or less ended his career with Arsenal. Many believe it cost Arsenal the Premier League title that year.
With more instances of online abuse and racism directed at footballers, we debate whether a role is played by so-called "banter accounts" on social media in inciting abuse.
Online hatred continues to be a pertinent issue that must be brought to a stop.

Four consecutive league games without a goal and defeat at Anfield for the first time since April 2017 against Burnley has left Liverpool looking burnt out.
