So I guess I will have to challenge NYS's application of the home and business exception which permits one to keep 2 unlicensed hand-guns in their home and/or business and be charged with but a misdemeanor but not 3 and then a violent C felony and mandatory 3 plus year sentence.

Though I have not read the decision it appears to remove a special needs requirement before getting a conceal carry permit. It does not undo the application process itself as a threshold but lowers it essentially to no recent murder convictions
