@rightaboutbeer we saw some creative use of the byrd rule in yesterday’s vote-o-rama. some R amendments got voted down by Ds, only to be rewritten by Ds so the rule would apply & require 60 votes, this allowed battleground Ds to vote in favor & save face, but ensure the amendment wouldn’t pass.

i’m just hoping that @PattyMurray or another @DNC senator will add an amendment to make this right before it’s too late. hundreds of thousands of working class livelihoods depend on it.
