Hundreds of British Paratroopers have dropped into Normandy to mark the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings.

On the 5/6 June 1944 more than 13,000 paratroopers spearheaded the initial D-Day assault, carried from British bases to Normandy on more than 800 C-47s. For many, what would become known as "The Longest Day."

British and American Paratroopers preparing to drop in during EX SWIFT RESPONSE in Estonia.

16 Air Assault Brigade Combat team, the British Armys Global Response Force, is leading a force of more than 2,300 soldiers, sailors and aviators from four countries working together in Estonia. The training is about @NATO Airborne Forces building their ability to respond to crisis together.

Radfan - A concerted operation involving 3 PARA, 45 Commando and Federal troops to capture the Dhanaba Basin, a Radfan tribal stronghold, began in April 1964.

3 PARA lost two killed and several wounded clearing the fort and village buildings at El Naquil.
