The ‘Wreck of The Birkenhead’ by Lance Calkin - In 1852 the troopship HMS Birkenhead sank off the South African coast; 430 lives were lost. This tragedy resulted in the ‘Birkenhead Drill’ were women and children were to be saved first.

3 SCOTS Cross Country team finished third on Wednesday in another tri-service event, this time at Dreghorn Barracks hosted by 3RIFLES. A challenging 10km course that zigzagged up into the Pentland Hills proved tough for all. Thanks and well done to winners @3_rifles
