USDOT is concerned by Southwest’s unacceptable rate of cancellations and delays & reports of lack of prompt customer service. The Department will examine whether cancellations were controllable and if Southwest is complying with its customer service plan.

@SouthwestAir Your app is TRASH!!! We finally asked about our flight at 2:30am 12/26 to Birmingham and it was then we were told it was cancelled...but the app didn't update anything until hours later, receiving 18 texts from 3-5am on the delays and then cancellations.

Yes, I'm upset for not making to my destination, but when you have returning military servicemen from active duty not making it home before redeployment, there's an issue!
