LA rock station does a nice spot about taking care of each other and donating to organizations that can help fire victims, and then immediately plays Creep by STP:
“Feeling uninspired, think I’ll start a fire.”
🙄🙄🙄
@PieGrandePG Thanks dude. We’re 20 miles away and personally unaffected. Can see the flames from our deck and have friends who have lost everything already and others who are still evacuated. The rebuild will be a massive undertaking. So sad.
People who are actually helping LA:
Fire fighters
Mexicans
Canadians
People who haven’t done shit except lie and play cheap politics and try to make things worse:
Elon
Trump
Mike Johnson
People on this website: All Hollywood celebrities are evil pedophiles and nobody should listen to them about anything.
Mel Gibson: Ivermectin cures cancer.
The same people on this website: “OMG, did you hear that Ivermectin cures cancer?!?”
Very strange to watch NFL players try to kill each other on every play while the refs throw flags to protect their feelings from getting hurt from taunting.
84-year-old Lee Trevino’s daily routine is incredible.
-Wakes up at 6:30 a.m.
-Walks a mile with Yoda, his French Bulldog
-Eats breakfast
-Hits golf balls for a few hours
-Has a bowl of soup
-Takes several naps
-Goes to bed at 8:30 p.m.
Ramaswamy: We want to go in and slash and burn the bureaucracy to help Americans, stimulate the economy and restore self-governance. The people we elect to run the government, they are not even the ones who run the government anymore, it's these unelected bureaucrats
@DianaMonnette Exactly, but for him (and millions like him), knowing the crazy things Trump said wouldn’t have changed his mind anyway. But still very apparent that many Americans are living in completely different realities.
Can confirm: told my MAGA (and golf fan) father-in-law that Trump spent 10 minutes talking about Arnold Palmer’s dick and he goes, “there’s no way he did that.” He only watches FoxNews and doesn’t have Twitter so there’s no possible way he would have seen that clip.
. @gtconway3d is absolutely right. A large chunk of Trump supporters live in a bubble detached from reality: "They don’t know basic things about what Trump has done. Whenever Trump says something crazy and starts to perform vulgar acts on a microphone, they change the channel…”
Republicans are going to have a 53-47 majority in the Senate, and yet here’s Trump urging the Senate to go into recess so that he can bypass it altogether.
In other words, he wants to install folks who couldn’t even get through *that* Senate.
It’s going to be a long four years.
His own Vice President will not be voting for him.
His former Chief of Staff will not.
His former Sec of Defense will not.
His former Nat Security Advisor will not.
His former Joint Chiefs Chair will not.
His former AG will not.
Because he’s dangerous and unfit for office.
