An attempt was made yesterday to discredit the report by claiming that the bodies belonged to local victims from #Suwayda. However, it is highly implausible that residents would bury their own in mass graves, an act that fundamentally contradicts local customs and norms.

A newly leaked video has since surfaced, revealing obscene and degrading language from one of the individuals involved in the crime, directed at the families of the martyrs. This footage now stands as compelling evidence that the mass grave does not contain victims from #Suwayda, but rather detainees from outside the governorate, likely #Bedouin civilians and members of the government security forces.

The mass burial of war victims by Hajri Militia in #Suwayda without informing their families constitutes a grave violation of international humanitarian law and may amount to a war crime!

This obligation is clearly established under the Geneva Conventions and Customary International Humanitarian Law, which outline the following key duties:

Rule 112 – ICRC Customary IHL
Rule 113 – ICRC Customary IHL
Rule 115 – ICRC Customary IHL
Rule 116 – ICRC Customary IHL

فيديو وتسريب جديد لألفاظ نابية من أحد أفراد هذه الجريمة بحق ذوي جثامين الشهداء الذين تم دفنهم في مقابر جماعية في السويداء
