During the iron Fist23 exercise ,both commanders held the bilateralpress conference.Conducting these challenging exercises,both countries can enhance bilateral operational capability,strengthen the power of deterrence,and enrich our response capabilities.
Task Force 76/3 is currently conducting distributed operations; Exercise Cobra Gold in #thailand and Exercise Iron Fist in #japan. Both training exercises strengthen our relationships with our #allies, and ensure safety in the region for a #FreeandOpenIndoPacific

JGSDF Maj. Gen. Shingo Nashinoki, commander, Amphibious Rapid Deployment Brigade, and JMSDF Rear Adm. Motoyuki Kanezashi, commander, Amphibious and Mine Warfare Force, visited TF 76/3 to discuss naval integration and tour the Integrated Littoral Warfare Center Feb. 16, 2023.
The USS Nimitz (CVN 68) carrier strike group, USS Makin Island amphibious ready group, and 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit conducted combined expeditionary strike force (ESF) operations in the Indo-Pacific Region with allies and partners.

In 2016, #3DMEB participated in Philippine Amphibious Landing Exercise 33 (PHIBLEX), an annual U.S.-Philippine exercise that combines amphibious capabilities and live-fire training with humanitarian civic assistance efforts to strengthen interoperability.
