One this occasion the customer already had the 3D Scan data and wanted us to reverse engineer the part, carry out slight modifications and then 3d print it for trial fitting.

Customer problem...Wear on a press tool and thus the client wanted to reproduce the tool. However, the previous supplier had closed down and no legacy data was available. Result, 3d scanning & Reverse Engineer. #3dscanning

@GoMeasure3D@Artec3DScanners Interesting article. The macro scanning is the perfect solution for capturing small detail like this. We have used macro scanning for capturing cannulated bone taps before reverse engineering them. Without this capability it would have been impossible to capture the information.

As the floor was a type of plastic it was clear we could end up with some noise on the scan so decided to create 5 scans and merge the scans on completion of the floor.
Used plenty of markers as ZG marker costs are very competitive.
