@CaseyMcgregor@PunishedTyke It was the culmination of two books, I’m hoping TWOW is close then ADOS is on that level (delusions of them ever coming out aside)
Rubio: President Kennedy announced that we were going to put a man on the moon. We did it. We are a nation founded on doing what no one else dared to do. And at some level, that's what this whole company, what UFC has been
It’s one of those things where I’m like, there’s no way this was intentional, them having a convo about this is ridiculous. And yet…weird coincidences like this keep happening around him
@bigkiitten@mindyisser I just liked “prioritize functionality & utility over looks.” Was always what guys/my dad would say to justify themselves not dressing fashionably. But I’d also hate not having pockets, and can totally understand!
@ClisbyHarry@Rawdawggbandit@CentristMadness Ok but I’m not talking about how the voters felt. I don’t know why you’re bringing it up. We’re talking about whether the economy was good
@Rawdawggbandit@ClisbyHarry@CentristMadness Unemployment in all sectors stayed consistent throughout Bidens term. The job market is precarious now, though still low, but I’m not sure why that’s being extended to Bidens term. And wages outgrew inflation for majority of Americans!
@ClisbyHarry@Rawdawggbandit@CentristMadness Yes we’ve heard this a million times. Wages outgrew inflation for most people, especially the bottom quintile. The problem is they feel inflation is something done to them by the government, but higher pay is something they do for themselves

@ClisbyHarry@Rawdawggbandit@CentristMadness I’m not a campaign, I’m not appealing to the median voter. I’m talking about a disagreement on Twitter. If the argument for the economy being bad is just “well voters don’t like inflation so therefore it’s bad” then we’re talking about something completely different
@Rawdawggbandit@CentristMadness Well I’m not making a political appeal to voters right now. Inflation is political poison, as we’ve seen. That doesn’t magically mean people are right and the economy was as awful as they say. Economic sentiment was lower than it was during the recession in 07-09!
@Rawdawggbandit@CentristMadness I’d say that was largely due to inflation, not the overall economy doing poorly. GDP contracted a single quarter during Bidens term and wages outpaced inflation the majority of that time as well. I think that’s why OP was asking specifically what indicators you were looking at
@Rawdawggbandit@CentristMadness I think compared to other countries in during the post-COVID inflationary period, the US had great wage growth and better (though still not good) inflation rates. Saying that Yellen did a uniquely bad job is silly
Let's assume, for argument's sake, that we launched a rocket, unlikely as it seems, and landed on the moon. The problem is that many, many, MANY of us simply cannot believe it. It seems for all the world like fraud. This matters, & is going to matter more.
Let's assume, for argument's sake, that Nithya Raman really did, unlikely as it seems, got to second place in the LA mayoral race. The problem is that many, many, MANY of us simply cannot believe it. It seems for all the world like fraud. This matters, & is going to matter more.
