Algorithms don’t always wanna show you Black authors in this world of AI. But just in case it did show up on your timeline, my book, Obsidian Sun, is out now. A collection of fiery poetry about Black legacy, love, and luminescence. Link in pinned and bio.

As I celebrate the official release of my book today on MLK Day, I think of Black people and our place in this country. We’ve fought, fallen, and faced challenge after challenge. Despite the darkness cast on us, we’ve continued to shine. We’re all Obsidian Suns. Cop yours today.

@SamthePoet0731@3PanelsPress For me there are two joys in reading poems.
1: The joy of beautiful language. I love it, and you are good at it.
2: A reader should interpret the poem in any way he or she wants. That's the fun of poetry.
You explain your poems. Don't do that. Let go; leave it to the reader.
Sometimes what survives isn’t hope, exactly—just what remains. This poem is about carrying the pieces, setting them down, and learning to live beside what doesn’t quite fit. A special thanks to @3PanelsPress for giving "Patchwork Light" a warm home.

My latest poem, “Dandelions,” continues the gradual reorientation and deepening of our attention to Nature, reminding us that even what we so easily dismiss retains its place within the living world. My thanks to the wonderful editors @3PanelsPress for giving it a loving home.
