So, I was trying to find more info on SFL. The rules, qualifications, and how it works.
Apparently, even if captains want me, I needed to either have alot of cpt points, or have entered the world warrior events, and is top 8 in my region.
Now, this is cool and all. BUT. Apparently the deadline to pick players is soon. WHICH MEANS, even if I entered the other 2 coming up, and became top 8 in the leader board (which is very possible since I got 3rd in the last one), i still cant be picked.
Theres 5 WW events. Only the highest 3 count. They made it 5 because if for some reason you cant make 1 or 2 of them, you can still compete, and potentially make the regional finals.
Now, correct if im wrong, for the most part, if you skipped a single ww event, you are screwed when it comes to being considered for the SFL? This makes literally 0 sense.
I am easily one of the best players in NA. And because I didnt enter 2 online tournaments (mind you, I made sure my schedule allowed me to enter the next 2), i cant be picked?
Now I would love to be wrong, and if anyone has any more info on this, I would love to know more. This is just what I was told...... Also, I think if you made top 8 at a ww event, that should qualify you to be put into the pool of players able to be chosen. Am i stupid for thinking that?
Getting into SFL has never been a fair / straight forward process and it most likely never will be. Its just cronyism, and quite frankly I'm sick of it. With 16(!!!!!!!) EWC spots and 4 (!!!!!)CC spots there should be more opportunities for players to EARN spots into the league.
