On indefinite hiatus. Originally ran March 2017-2019. Toronto’s premier source for the diverse and personal stories within independent and local games culture.
Hey? Remember 2018? We certainly do and that is why we are publishing our annual "Year in Review" this week! This the first our new monthly issue format as well. Here is the publishing schedule!
@jakebutineau I haven’t had a CD drive in a computer for so many years now. Do PS4s play CDs? I’m not sure I even a method to do that any more without pulling out my PS3.
Thank you to those who have reached out and expressed their sadness for the news. We’ll have an archive for the content and a postmortem up soon, to give a glimpse into what this meant to us and what went into it the past two years.
Update: With a heavy heart we are announcing Third Person is now on indefinite hiatus. Between a lack of funding as well as other commitments of Editor in Chief @colinmcummings and Managing Editor @phoenixsimms, the site is now offline.
In the meantime, thank you to everyone for your support and readership over the years. We’ll have some specific folks to thank later but we love you all and we’ll still be around. 💛
Our next monthly issue will be available next week! Our publishing schedule may shift a bit due to work and other personal reasons. Stay tuned for a content announcement!
Finally, special mention to “Heaven Will Be Mine” from @worstgirlsgames/@pillowfightio and “Return of the Obra Dinn” from @dukope, two games found on many of our lists this year!
We also want to take this moment to thank our guest writers and contributors! They make up the bulk of this issue and provide some great insight and commentary. We are always looking for guest articles so if you want to pitch something for February, let us know!
The end of our year in review issue arrives with @colinmcummings' games of 2018! Our second editorial list, with a variety of experiences! https://t.co/dtBIEb7lzu
Our second last write-up arrives late this eve, from local game developer and frequent site guest @gabdar! A colourful list, with some gems hidden within. https://t.co/vK0Z61hQr9
