don't get me wrong I'm happy these things are popular but it feels like everyone I've talked to last couple years says either "I'm avoiding that area" or "I live here and I dread it" lol this is just not an area that needs to host a festival for people who don't live downtown
if these neighborhoods were smart they'd ban any outside businesses from setting up booths during street fests. everyone is saying duwest is too crazy, make it for the people who actually live here again and not people who bussed in cuz they saw spiral potatoes on tiktok
if you need a break from duwest fest might I suggest pulling up to a Landsdowe and College with a lawn chair and some beers and watching the drivers get madder than anyone ever been before
why are Toronto restaurants obsessed with making fake chopped cheese sandwiches that don't even vaguely resemble what a real one should be. it's not a hard thing to make, just do it normally!!
nothing annoys me more than watching someone trying to control their obviously untrained dog by yelling commands that they clearly never taught them. like your dog does not know what those words mean put it on a fucking leash and go home
that said, I already really like a couple tracks and the medieval and spoken word stuff is cool in a Elden ring cutscene way lol I just gotta get used to it
@laundryy_dj that genuinely make no sense operationally lol. slowest bartenders ever or do they just have a stack of premade steaks sitting under a heat lamp ready to go??
@laundryy_dj I don't trust any new cocktail bars unless I know who is opening it and even then it's iffy sometimes. just checked their menu and it really looks like the exact generic copy paste"cocktail bar" that've been opening by the litter downtown lately. bleak
@laundryy_dj I was talking to a couple from nyc yesterday at work and they were asking what people in Toronto were into and I tried so hard to think of a cool answer but had to give in and say "anything corporate and familiar" lol it's so true though. also where was this
