Tandaan: ang mga nagtaas ng kamay sila ang lagi nasasangkot sa mga alegasyon ng korapsyon. Hindi ito tungkol sa tamang prinsipyo. Tungko ito sa patuloy na panggagago sa mga Pilipino!
I really don't get the sentiment of the people getting offended by being told "Merry Christmas" because they are not Christians or more specifically they are Muslims.
If you were a worshipper of Odin and told me you wished me to be blessed by your God I would be honored because while I don't believe in Odin I know you do and thus from your point of you, you are wishing me the best.
Likewise if in your religion whichever that is, there is a bank holiday and you wished me whatever that is I would politely smile and say thank you.
When we Christians say merry Christmas we include you in our celebrations.
I thoughtthese people were all about inclusivity.
Moreover, if you live in the West atheist or not you are part of it culturally.
Some people are really close minded these days.
The Catholic Church in this country is really something.
When faced with severe persecution for speaking out against Duterte's so-called "War on Drugs", they only spoke out louder.
When offered raw political power in a military junta through a coup, they refused it fearing how such power could corrupt them and others.
God's militant people on Earth. Often incompetent, frequently bickering, always disorganized - yet when the winds of Providence blows, imperfect but beautiful Mother Church really steps up and shows why She is Christ's Chosen Bride.
I am so proud to be Catholic. So very, very proud.
