From 6 February 2026, EMR will close access between the footbridge and platforms at Nottingham station at weekends.

This is in addition to current restrictions in place every night between 7pm and 6am, which came into force in August last year. Since then, data has shown there has been a significant reduction in assaults, leading to the decision to extend the closure over weekends. This will improve security and safety, deter vandalism and reduce fare evasion.
