Girls are being taught that their gender is on a spectrum. If they don’t look like Barbie they are less of a girl. You aren’t quite completely a girl if you don’t wear heels. Boys are less of a boy if they don’t wear the right color. 7/

Le langage sert donc à décrire une réalité au moins sociale. Si le mot "femme" est certes associé à des significations sociales (et c'est pas forcément une bonne nouvelle), son référent n'est pas une réalité purement sociale mais avant tout une réalité naturelle.

Mais ce dont les TRAs n'ont pas conscience (au mieux) ou ce qu'ils ignorent sciemment (au pire), c'est que cet assemblage de mots que constitue une définition cherche à cerner une réalité relativement indépendante du sujet et non une expérience mentale de ce dernier.

@Cau_Marie_ En anglais, le terme genre a remplacé le terme sexe. L’ONU suit en français.
Mais aujourd’hui la distinction est bien nécessaire.
Les femmes subissent les violences en raison de leur sexe, pas parce qu’elles adoptent le genre féminin.
