@timothy_stanley People like you thinning this are the problem. I thought conservatives wanted a country of personal responsibility? When really you want to turn us into a authoritarian police state
@JohnSwinney Let Westminster off the hook 😂😂😂 You’re a devolved administration set up with the consent of the central government. They have complete control over what you can or cannot do. It doesn’t matter if it’s ’denying democracy’ in your view.
@ScotNational In the 2010s immediately after the Brexit referendum I thought there was a serious chance of Scotland leaving but now there is absolutely zero
@Richard25562399@PeterStefanovi2 What an idiotic take, with proportional representation the tories would have never had enough support to call a referendum on Europe - it is much fairer for everyone and means we can nearly always block out extreme parties from government
@TomEDewey1948@PolitWave It’s actually crazy how right wing America is compared to every other developed western country - I how’s flu think the main factor is how religious you guys are compared to the mostly secular west
@Casteri67@AngusBMacNeil That would be against international law and Westminster would have every right to take away the devolved parliament and impose direct rule like Spain did in Catalonia
@_einefotze_ Scotland has a devolved government with certain responsibilities, this is not one of them. The UK government as the sole final authority can just ignore you constantly whining
@MrJohnNicolson Still, UK Gov is under no obligation to give a referendum to Scotland, there’s no constitutional measure similar to Northern Ireland for Scotland. And is there any huge change in opinion polling from 2014? Most show near 50/50 spilt, which is hardly overwhelming support to leave
@ScotNational Whether you like it or not the UK is a unitary state where constitutional matters are controlled by the central government, actions like this are just pure virtue signalling to the base as it will never happen without Westminster saying yes
I have arrived at the Sándor Palace to meet the President of Hungary.
@DrTamasSulyok is unworthy of representing the unity of the Hungarian nation. He is unfit to serve as the guardian of legality. He is not fit to serve as a moral authority or a role model.
Following the formation of the new government, Tamás Sulyok must leave office immediately.
