Unpopular opinion: Illinois can annex northern Indiana, and Chicago can expand its boundary to cover Hammond. This way, the Chicago Bears stay in Chicago and Illinois. 🫡
82-0 might be fun for some of you, but for True & Ethical appreciators of defense, glue guys, vibes, grinders, and “he just does the little things” guys, this game is actually a minor form of torture
@lemmingstribes Currently doing a regional planning studio in school, and trying to create any meaningful change is just impossible because of all the different cities, townships, and villages. Nothing is ever getting done without consolidation lmao.
I understand “Progressive Planners” are the bogeyman, but projects like Seattle Housing Authority’s Yesler Terrace redevelopment exist. It basically had an unlimited budget and chose to rebuild as urban blocks.
Every planning school teaches against Corbusian towers in the park.
That “Cincinnati News” account posted that they saw a lot of tourists on the streetcar and people in the comments were genuinely confused that there were tourist. That’s how I know they don’t live in the city, because the amount of tour groups in the summer is absurd lmao
@taxspendlib It was less problematic in New York, but in most other cities, the “tower in the park” housing projects were isolated from any amenities. Jobs were scarce and transit was often poor, which led to increased poverty and crime within and around the projects.
BREAKING: The proposed US-Iran peace deal includes a $300 billion reconstruction fund for Iran, per NYT.
The program is being called an international "investment fund," which the US would facilitate in the final deal.
This comes as Iran demands "reparations" to end the war.
