You need to learn a skill that AI will never be able to replace
A perfect example is knowing why a piece of content will stop someone mid scroll
AI can write you a caption. It can generate a video. It can optimize a headline, a thumbnail, a posting time. All of that is solvable now
What it still can't do is tell you which specific product, moment, or angle a real human will actually stop and care about
I've watched two videos of the exact same product, same quality, same effort, and one does 20k views while the other does 2 million
The difference wasn't the editing. It was some instinct for what a stranger would actually stop for
That instinct is the actual skill behind organic growth
Not the camera, not the trends, not the tools
AI can help you execute faster once you know the idea. It still can't hand you the idea
@ecom_rickx Same logic applies to acquisition, not just retention. Most of these guys are also leaving organic on the table entirely, free traffic that could be funding a chunk of that ad budget instead of eating into it
Show people an $80k/mo dashboard and half of them say "that's nothing"
Meanwhile i'm taking home $50k of that. Pure profit, zero ad spend
Same people flexing $200k/mo dashboards are walking away with $20k after ad spend eats the rest
Revenue is the vanity metric. Profit is the only number that pays your bills
People will clown a smaller number every time without asking what's actually left over
Everyone talks about facebook ads
But nobody talks about the margin difference. Organic can get you a much better margin, even with less total revenue
Paid ads usually get you more total revenue. But once you subtract ad spend and other costs, a lot of brands are sitting at 10-15% margins
Organic gets you less total revenue most of the time. But with zero ad spend, i've run brands at 60% margins on the same kind of product
There's also the risk side nobody talks about. Ad account gets banned, costs go up, algorithm changes, your whole revenue can disappear overnight
Organic isn't risk free either, but you're building an actual audience that follows you, not renting attention from a platform you don't control
Not saying ads don't work. Saying more revenue doesn't always mean more profit, and stability matters more than people give it credit for
20.2M views in one month. $0 on ads. One account.
Not posting the content. That's the actual asset
Some things i noticed:
The videos that hit big weren't the "best" ones. They just had a hook so obvious you couldn't scroll past it in the first 2 seconds
Posted about 20 videos, and almost all got at least 200k views. But only 3-4 did big numbers. That's what actually carries a monthly number like this
A big chunk of those views come from countries with basically zero buying power. Doesn't matter how many people watch if none of them can buy. But the slice that could buy still added up to real revenue
Reach isn't hard. Reach that converts is
This isn't just a views thing. Anyone running content for a business has the same problem. The number that looks good on a dashboard isn't always the number that matters
Genuinely curious how many people chasing views actually know who's watching it
