@KatjaDox I read tobit a long while ago. I do appreciate the apocrypha but haven’t read through all of it yet. When I read tobit I thought it was extremely clear that it was just a story. Bro really rubbed poop in his eyes.

@KatjaDox Just because someone is with Christ doesn’t mean they have the capacity to be like God and receive prayers from everyone simultaneously, nor does that mean you should be trying to talk to them.
Also from what I understand all Maccabees mentions about this is praying FOR the DEAD.

I know plenty of my peers who are like that. This is notoriously common for pastor kids.

@TheGourdKing @Lonestarorthox @sanderson1611 He has a great influence with a minority of people. The majority want a solid reason to dismiss him. Nobody cares what the minority who already liked him thinks, the majority hate them too. That influence does not protect him at all.

The influence you are talking about would probably apply to people who the public actually likes, not people who piss off the public. Even the “conservative Christians” would disagree with him. It’s different.
