@HANCXCK Objectively speaking, the old design was generic and a poor telling of his story. How was he a transhumanist if his fad was just a cyborg arm and metal armor? If anything, he was a generic metal mage turned unique and compelling transhuman--exactly what he was set out to be.

For me it’s not just about the ethics. I’m losing the process, a large part of what makes art enjoyable. Art was the fixation that kept me going for years. It’s my life! And to have half of it stripped away into cogs in a machine that can’t even appreciate it… What a waste.

@culturaltutor I actually attended the first exhibition ever of Botticelli's drawings just last week! Drawing was an uncommon method of preparing paintings at the time. It was a skill he picked up from Filippo Lippi in which he became uniquely skilled at. His drapery in particular is wonderful.

even in art school, it's hard to shake off old habits... speaking to an art student from another country, i realize that i rely on intuition too much. i don't try to pick up on/apply new ideas. i'm not going to become the artist i want to be if i keep staying in my comfort zone.
