Diving into the Deep, Ultimate Return — Team C3 Japan Big Brother Shotaro Masuda’s Signature 4A Weapon "Submarine" Reprised in Classic POM & All-New PC Versions! 💥 🐳🐟 🐠 🐡 🦈 🐋 🌊 🦑 🐙 🦐 🦞 🦀

C3yoyodesign is pleased to announce that in addition to the POM version, we are also bringing you a lightweight PC version — the highly anticipated return of our dream offstring (4A) model, the "Submarine"! As the first official member and big brother of Team C3 in Japan, Shotaro Masuda is the South Japan Yo-Yo Contest Champion, widely recognized as a "4A Magician." His super unique offstring playstyle is so rare that he might be the only one in the world who can execute it, leaving everyone gasping, "Wow, I never knew 4A could be played like this!" His signature style seamlessly incorporates deep 1A elements into a 4A context. Every time he steps onto the stage, he delivers an unforgettable, jaw-dropping freestyle that redefines the audience's understanding of the division.

Regarding the concept behind the name "Submarine," Shotaro shares a poetic, rebellious philosophy. While almost all offstring yo-yos are named after concepts of the "sky," his playstyle is entirely different. He wanted his signature yo-yo to defy convention and dive deep into the limitless "ocean" to explore uncharted territories—hence, the "Submarine" was born.

For this massive 2026 return, we are launching both the classic POM version and the brand-new PC (Polycarbonate) version simultaneously, featuring stunning visual stories and major hardware upgrades. The classic POM version is presented in a pure, elegant solid white, fully preserving that rock-solid, premium dense feel preferred by purists. The newly introduced PC version features a breathtaking ocean-green dyed rim, inspired by the beautiful sea right in front of Shotaro's hometown, while optimizing and reducing the weight for a more nimble, lightweight, and mainstream feel. To meet Shotaro’s rigorous technical demands, the signature MSD Spacers have also been fully upgraded to high-grade Stainless Steel for the 2026 edition, significantly improving durability while guaranteeing absolute precision under maximum velocity.

Looking back at the design DNA, Submarine is a masterclass in offstring engineering based entirely on Shotaro’s specific vision. Shotaro always believed that the ultra-wide profile of C3’s legendary 1A yo-yo, the Master Galaxy, had massive potential for 4A. Its extreme width drastically increases catch accuracy and provides a distinctly longer float time in the air. After extensive modifications, C3 transformed it into the official 4A version of the Master Galaxy.

The body retains the signature soft feel and comfortable weight distribution of the Neo Solar as much as possible, while integrating the high-performance rim weight distribution of the Jenos. This ensures total stability during rapid technical transitions, greatly extending total spin times. Furthermore, it boasts exceptional rebound power when dropping on the ground, making recovery seamless. While Shotaro required an extra-wide gap to accommodate intricate multi-string wraps, the team has custom-engineered the specialized MSD Spacer. To provide the ultimate customization experience, every Submarine comes included with all specs of spacers right in the package, allowing players to fine-tune and adjust the gap width exactly to their personal preference.
