For anyone who thinks I hate Kendrick Lamar:
I love GKMC and think it’s a Top 5 rap album of all time. I think TPAB is overrated sonically but is a great narrative / conceptual album.
DAMN is solid, Mr Morale is good conceptually, but misses the mark in some areas.
@realscottlee@jlinehan9@tjmcaulay The Defensive PI called on BYU was a bad call.
But that was a textbook penalty on the pick route. WR didn’t even make an attempt to sell it.
I’m okay with Drake collaborating with Future or Weeknd again since they weren’t as involved in the beef and the friendships seemed fixable…
BUT, Drake cannot take this ‘unbothered’ lane. He can’t just ignore the past 2 years entirely and act like it didn’t affect him. Be real
@ImmaCallYouBack@Whats_the_dirt I agree to an extent. But HN was more high energy and most of the songs sounded quite a bit different. This album feels like 1 long song about the same situation over and over. I think he has potential with this sound but the writing, subject matter, & variation was lacking
@MicahS22@TopTierND@CBSSportsCBB@coachbrucepearl True. I think the committee would have issues putting some conference + tourney champs that high though, like Central Arkansas at 22-11 as a 10 seed would be a huge advantage for a 7 seed. It could work they’d just have to figure out a good system for it.
@MicahS22@TopTierND@CBSSportsCBB@coachbrucepearl I like this except the regular season mid major champs would then have no incentive to win the conference tournament. They’d rather be rested instead of playing 4-5 straight right before the tourney. Also it’s better for small conferences financially to get 2 teams in each over 1
IMO Drake has 2 classics in Take Care and IYRTITL. I don’t personally have NWTS on that level.. a 13 track album with 3-4 skips can’t be a classic to me, even if it has some of his best work. I do feel like he needs an undeniable classic, pure rap studio album.

@VanLathan The problem is you’re comparing his albums to the way hip hop was from 1990-2005. The genre changed. Even Kanye and Kendrick have melodic elements in all of their albums. That’s not exclusive to Drake, but you’re making the criteria your preference.
@iam_johnw People are gonna be mad cause they love Miami but you’re 100% right. First contact was initiated by the offensive player with the push of the arm. It’s easily a charge regardless of if they defender was moving or not.
@r_aphaelp@MrBusby4o8 I personally think all 3 of those Drake albums are better than TPAB strictly sonically, but it’s hard to argue it’s impact. But I also think GKMC is way better than TPAB
@SeewhyChels Just to clarify, it’s not 3 entirely different versions. It’s 3 different sequences / different ‘narratives’, swapping out some songs.
Trying to keep it current with his feelings on certain topics.
@MillionDol91959@DrakeDebate He doesn’t, he’s just mad. There was very strong reason to believe we’d get something yesterday. The rollout officially started the 27th with the Yeat music video. Insider is telling the truth. The rollout has been planned but sloppy.
@goodkiiddd Bro, I’m not vilifying Kendrick at all. You’re completely twisting what I’m saying. All I said was it’s hypocritical for Jay to say calling someone a pedophile at the SUPER BOWL (not in the battle) isn’t significant when he was JUST upset people publicly accused him of that.
@wtf_rudy@DatPiff Drake fan but I kind of agree. Was a little all over the place and felt like he had no identity and was unpolished. There’s still quite a few great songs on there though.
@goodkiiddd I’m not okay with either of those things being pushed about them if they’re not true, but there’s been a much more media driven narrative against Drake with it, I feel like that’s not debatable.
In the context of a rap battle I think it’s fair game, but outside of it I don’t.
