I'm really proud that the makers of @406_Days saw fit to include an acknowledgment to me in closing credits. There was no need - but i appreciate it.
I missed the mention at the Dublin premiere so it was a lovely surprise to see my name in the closing credits here in #Limerick
📺 Another screening for me tonight. This time, I’m across at @OmniplexCinema in Dooradoyle as @406_Days which focuses on the plight of the sacked Debenhams workers makes its bow in #Limerick.
The powerful doc premiered in March at the Dublin Film Festival and local workers play a leading role.
It’s to be followed by a question and answer session among the workers.
Our Big-screen Movie to Watch is 406 Days. Joe Lee's powerful documentary looks at the workforce (95% female) that launched the longest industrial dispute in Irish labour history when they were unceremoniously made redundant by Debenhams during the pandemic
Go see #406days ! Ireland's (KPMG, Courts, Garda & Govt.) shameful treatment of former Debenham's employees. Became 🇮🇪 longest running industrial dispute. @406_Days
'406 Days feels like the retelling of a legend' ⭐⭐⭐⭐ @DonaldClarke63 for @IrishTimes

Read my interview with @406_Days director Joe Lee and #Cork striker Ciara Harnett. Joe has captured this amazing fight for worker's rights and the legendary women who refused to back down. The interview is in today's @echolivecork@Eclipse_Picture
Make sure to catch @406_Days@Eclipse_Picture, which opens tomorrow. It is a rousing documentary that follows the extraordinary perseverance of the former #Debenhams workers who went on strike nationwide, including #Cork. Read my review in @echolivecork#406Days

It's amazing how Debenhams was able to mobilise so many Gardaí to stop workers getting what they're owed but are unable to protect the most vulnerable from violence directed by racists and fascists
