We ask that the documentary “Lee Soo Man: The King of K-Pop” is NOT supported. The inclusion of footage from Jonghyun’s funeral, placed next to the phrase “the dark side of K-pop,” shows a clear lack of respect from both the filmmakers and the person being documented.

To reduce an artist like Jonghyun to that phrase, and to exploit such deeply sensitive images for dramatic effect, is not only vile—it’s an act of profound disrespect.

We made the choice to blur the footage ourselves out of respect for his family, who wished for privacy during that time. However, in the original version of the video, the images are shown clearly, without any regard for that wish.

We demand that @PrimeVideo take immediate action by deleting and removing the footage and apologizing.

jonghyun was an incredible artist, he brought amazing things to this industry. jonghyun loved what he did, he said that he was the happiest when he sang or composed music. he will always be more than what people try to reduce him to. we won’t let people erase his legacy.
