Olesia Melnychenko was a paramedic captured after leaving Azovstal.

Instead, she survived — and spent 223 days in russian captivity, including at the Olenivka prison camp where the massacre took place.

28 women were crammed into a cell meant for 6. She lost 12 kg. They were given barely edible food and water with tadpoles in it.

During interrogations, she was locked in a cage. russian men threatened and humiliated her.

But the worst part was hearing Ukrainian men being tortured behind the wall.

For days.

She feared dying because her little son might grow up with no memories of his mother.

She was freed on December 31, 2022, and returned to the Ukrainian army.

This is what russian captivity means.

Thousands of Ukrainians are still living through this hell.

《摆事实，讲道理：台湾，我既不支持武统，也不支持文统——我根本就不支持统一》

作为一个从中国大陆出来的人，我想从一个大陆人的角度，把我为什么不支持统一这件事说清楚。

大陆谈台湾，经常就是两种声音：一种喊武统，一种反对武统，但支持所谓文统、和平统一。

我的态度很简单：武统我不支持，文统我也不支持，因为我根本就不支持统一。

为什么？因为我觉得讨论统一之前，应该先回答一个最基本的问题：统一到底是为了什么？国家也好，领土也好，政治也好，最终都应该为人服务。

统一不是目的，让人过得更好才是目的。所以别先跟我谈地图、历史和民族大义，先回答我：统一台湾，到底能让谁过得更好？

先说大陆人。台湾统一以后，大陆人的工资能涨吗？房贷能少吗？看病能便宜吗？能获得更多自由吗？几乎��能；如果因此发生战争、制裁和经济冲击，最后承担代价的反而还是普通人。所以对大陆人来说，我看不到统一究竟改善了什么。

再看台湾人，他们今天最珍贵的也不是101，不只是台积电，而是民主、自由、法治，是一个普通人可以投票，可以批评政府，可以公开表达政治立场，可以对权力说“不”。

为什么我特别看重这些？因为高楼可以盖，高铁可以修，机器可以买，技术可以学，有钱、有市场、有全球技术交流，物质上的东西追起来并没有那么难；真正难的是民主、自由、法治和对个人权利的尊重。这些东西不是花钱就能买来的，而可能需要几代人的觉醒、争取和制度建设。

中国加入WTO以后，经济、制造��、科技、基建发展得有多快？可政治自由并没有因此自动出现。这恰恰说明：物质现代化容易，人的现代化难；钱可以买机器，买不来自由；市场可以换技术，换不来民主。

而台湾今天最宝贵的，恰恰就是这些来之不易的东西。大陆自己都没有的东西，凭什么要求台湾人拿出来冒险？

至于“一国两制”，香港就摆在那里。台湾人真正应该问的不是你今天承诺得多漂亮，而是：你今天告诉我“五十年不变”，明天你变了，我怎么办？真正可靠的契约，是强者想反悔的时候，也有制度能够约束他。否则承诺写得再漂亮，又有什么用？

所以最后只剩一个问题：既然统一不能让大陆普通人过得更好，也不能让台湾人过得更好，那为什么还非要统一？

在我看来，答案很简单：利益就在权力本身。普通人被“民族大义”“历史使命”“祖国统一”这些宏大叙事动员起来，以为自己在完成民族大业，可有没有想过：

这件事到底给你带来了什么？你是在实现自己的利益，还是在替别人的政治野心买单？

Друзі, бачу, що разом із посиленням російського терору проти України у нас розгорнулася й роснява «антивоєнна кампанія». Яка закликає саме Україну зупинити війну. 🥴
В мене вже так горить срака від всього цього, що му��у висловитися:

Україна не може закінчити війну - якої вона не починала!
І Україна не може піти на "мир", який їй ніхто не пропонує!
Досить ілюзій!
Обісрана русня не досягла жодної зі своїх цілей військовим шляхом. Тож ЄДИНЕ, на що вона спроможна - намагатися зламати нашу волю щоденними обстрілами українських міст і терором мирного населення. І паралельно з цим запускати проросійські наративи про капітуляцію. ВСЕ.
Так, буде важко. Але ми вже не раз доводили, що вміємо адаптуватися й вистоювати.

Тож підтримуйте тих, хто тримає фронт.
Та донатьте на потреби нашої армії.
Слава нашим героям ЗСУ! 🇺🇦

Але завжди є альтернатива:
Ми можемо піти на умови росії - капітуляцію.
Здати всі свої території, які русня вже записала до своєї конституції.
А далі - окупаційний режим. Фільтраційні чистки. Репресії. Примусова русифікація.
(Усе це ми вже бачили на окупованих територіях.)
А років через 10–20 ваші діти будуть воювати у складі російської армії десь під Польщею - за нові «історичні території».

Тож вибір за вами.

Ici ça chiale pour le plein, les vacances, les courses, le moindre truc.

Là-bas, des familles espèrent juste survivre jusqu’au lendemain.

Et malgré ça, t’as encore des Français bien au chaud qui expliquent aux Ukrainiens qu’ils devraient se coucher.

Ça me fout la honte.

La guerre, je l’ai vue en ex-Yougoslavie. Je sais ce que ça fait aux gens, aux familles, aux gosses. Alors voir des connards bien au chaud fantasmer là-dessus, excuser une invasion et expliquer aux Ukrainiens qu’ils devraient se coucher, ça me fout hors de moi.

Vous n’avez aucune idée de ce dont vous parlez. Aucune.

Et parfois, bordel, j’aimerais juste que vous soyez obligés de regarder la guerre en face, une seule fois, au lieu de la commenter depuis votre canapé.

President Xi just told President Trump that America and China fought together against Japan in World War II. That’s true of the Chinese people, but as a claim about the Chinese Communist Party, it’s total bullshit.

While Chiang Kai-shek’s Nationalist armies fought the major battles against the Japanese imperial forces and suffered devastating losses during World War II, Mao’s Communists largely avoided conflict as they saved their energies to defeat not the Japanese but the Chinese nationalists. This was a complete betrayal of the Chinese people.

Then the Party seized power in 1949 and commenced its catastrophic killing spree. More than 47 million Chinese people died under Communist rule, far more than were killed during Japan’s brutal war against China. What Mao did to China was far more murderous and deadly than even the horrors the Japanese imperial army unleashed in the rape of Nanjing.

Xi is acting as if the Chinese communists played any meaningful role in fighting the Japanese and is rewriting history to justify China’s aggression against Japan, America’s longtime ally. Trump, the American people, and the Chinese people should loudly call this dangerous lie what it is.

The world should stand with our Japanese friends, who have been pillars of global responsibility for eight decades, during which time the Chinese Communist Party has done so much harm to its own people and to the world.
