We had a fantastic time composting at Barefoot on the Beach event! 🌞 Thanks to the incredible efforts of our volunteers & everyone who participated in composting, we successfully diverted approximately 1,075.2 pounds of compostables from our landfill 🌎
The Pickup Artist’s fury team mate, Hugo, joined in on the fun as they collected 11 bags of litter this weekend! 🐾✅
Along the way, this #ToledoLitterLeague team found a crisp $5 bill (among many other items that don’t belong on our land or waterways) 🌟👏✨
Friendly reminder that after you consider how to #REDUCE the waste you create, you should consider what items you can #REUSE on a daily basis! ✅💚♻️
The creation of this waste drains our natural resources and overwhelms our landfills. #ReduceReuseRecycle - in that order!
When recycling, remember to flatten cardboard boxes! ♻ Flattening cardboard boxes makes room for more cardboard boxes - ensuring that we recycle as much as possible.

Please do not bag your recyclables! ♻️ Plastic bags get tangled in recycling machinery, slowing down the process. Recyclables should be clean and loose.
When you #RecycleRight, you speed up the recycling process and ensure as much that can be recycled gets recycled.

That’s a ✨wrap✨ on our Boat Wrap Recycling Collection events for 2024! This year, we have collected about 18 bags of boat wrap - that’s about 1,206 lbs of boat wrap that will be recycled into something new, preserving precious landfill space.
