I actually need someone to explain to me how the manager can lay out the number 1 target, all the groundwork is done, and this incompetent sporting director has left us with not only no number 1 target, but nobody at all. How can you negotiate with multiple targets and end up with nobody???
Heads gone. How can you do all the groundwork for Rogers, the player the MANAGER WANTS, and then start talking to other targets who have 0 importance. Seriously how does that even make any sense as a strategy??? This is the guy that bought a deadweight for 60mil up top so should we even be surprised.
@_yxan14@cmbftbl Unreal level of incompetence. Manager wants Player X, so Bertas grand idea is to piss about talking to other targets we don’t want and lose out on all of them altogether.
Unbelievable level of incompetence. I didn’t think it was possible to repeat Edus mistakes but wow. This guys come in, hands us a £60mil deadweight striker that the manager didn’t even want as first option, and gutted the attack with nothing to show for it. Not to mention the owners having to get involved in the most significant deals this window
@afcjxmes Reported just before this that we wouldn’t match the price. At this point the clubs probably accepting the failure we’ve had signing attackers and not gonna panic buy.
It doesn’t matter if it’s better than I’m making out if the manager has come out and directly said we need level raisers and game changers in those positions. You can sit there like a good yute and accept anything the club does, while the rest of us use our eyes and listen to the managers words to see how he’s been let down once again. 👍🏾👋
@BozzyAFC@HawkesAFC Yep cos this is the rational response to Arteta and the players being let down by the board and sporting director once again😂 Let’s just make Arteta work miracles with the attack once again instead of adding to his PL winning side👍🏾
@TomCantonMedia Honestly baffling rule. If he doesn’t handball it he doesn’t get the chance to shoot. So how can the own goal overrule the action that made it possible in the first place😂😂
@Dmmanz_ This summer it’s even worse cos the funds and the clear ambition from the club is there. The owners have even been heavily involved. Berta and co on the board have once again left Arteta short, and we’ll be surprised when we limp over the finish line again.
@ltarsenal The problem is the scattergun thing is Bertas whole approach. We’ve been told all window that he likes to talk to multiple targets before progressing which, in my opinion, can’t work at this level. You have to be quick and decisive or you risk another team getting there first.
@HawkesAFC We cannot let this level of midfield down by not improving our attacking talent now. An attacker has to be the next signing to do these guys justice for all the work they’re about to put in.
