Quick update on AI, Tech, GitHub, Crypto and Funding for degens
AI is entering a new phase.
OpenAI just announced GPT 5.6, GPT Live and GPT 5.6 as the preferred model in Microsoft 365 Copilot. This is no longer just a chatbot race. It is becoming a race to put frontier models directly into real work tools.
Anthropic is also pushing harder on Claude, Claude Code and developer workflows. The signal is clear: AI agents are moving from demos into daily production.
Notable GitHub trends today:
awesome llm apps is still hot, with ready to run AI Agent and RAG apps that builders can clone, customize and ship.
pgrust is interesting because it points to a bigger trend: rewriting critical infra in Rust.
openai codex remains a repo to watch if you are building coding agents.
bun keeps gaining attention across runtime, bundler, test runner and package manager use cases.
cpp2rust is worth watching because safer migration from C++ to Rust is becoming a real dev narrative.
Crypto is not in a clean bull phase yet.
BTC is around 64K, ETH around 1.6K and SOL around 78. BTC and ETH ETFs are showing some recovery signals after outflows, but spot demand and open interest still do not look strong enough. In short: there is a bounce, but no strong confirmation yet.
DeFi also gave another risk reminder. Bonzo Lend on Hedera was exploited for around 9M after an oracle related issue. The lesson is simple: lending markets, oracle design and cross chain flows are still some of the highest risk zones in DeFi.
Funding news shows that big money is still choosing AI first.
Together AI raised 800M at an 8.3B valuation.
Menlo Ventures raised 3B after a major bet on Anthropic.
Paradigm raised 1.2B and is expanding beyond crypto into AI, robotics and frontier tech.
Gauntlet raised a 125M Series C from SBI Holdings.
Quick take:
AI infra, coding agents, local agents and dev tools are still the strongest narratives.
Crypto is showing signs of recovery, but institutional capital has not fully returned in force.
Big funds are choosing AI first and crypto second. But the intersection of AI, infra, onchain finance and security is still very much worth watching.
