In 2012, I fostered 4 puppies, over Christmas, for @THS_tweet #BestChristmasEver
I adopted 1 of those pups, or rather he adopted us, and we enjoyed 12 wonderful years with him
We said goodbye to him on Friday💔 This is a tribute to my best friend 🐾🐾

The search for the remains of the murdered Native women laying somewhere in the Prairie Green garbage dump in Winnipeg would NEVER have gone forward without the families rallying, blocking roads, advocating, making noise, & demanding their loved ones be given respect. For the resources to be allocated, for politicians & citizens to care- it took TWO & A HALF YEARS!!! Indigenous Peoples time & again have to fight, sometimes beg for justice. FINALLY, a turning point in this horrific nightmare. Our women are worth it; worth finding; worth cherishing. #MMIWG
I am the woman who took my rapist to court and won. I am the woman who took action against my rapist’s lawyer for traumatising me in court and won. I am the woman who is now going to receive compensation from said lawyer for what he did. The lesson: don’t underestimate women 👊🏽
Today we celebrate a group that continues to be undervalued. - the heroes in scrubs who bridge the gap between doctors and patients, & dedicate themselves to the health and well-being of others.
Thank you for your unwavering commitment and sacrifices!!

Today, May 5th, we honour and remember Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit people. Let's stand in solidarity, advocate for justice, and amplify Indigenous voices. #RedDressDay#MMIWG2S#EndViolence
The reasons he shared are heartbreaking because this is what the "bear vs man" discussion is actually about. Violence against women.
One thing I'm seeing more & more come from this "man vs bear" discussion is more & more men standing up to highlight that this discussion is about violence against women, yet misogynistic abusive men continue to willfully miss the point and cry about women choosing the bear.
Compliments of @9_tellthetruth
@ZubyMusic I refused to be limited by gender stereotypes even as a child.
I loved camping, the outdoors, playing sports… The “tomboy” label is sexist. (I was called that routinely). I was simply a girl, now a woman, with interests that society says are more appropriate for boys/men.
Since 1993, TWC has grown from a few hardworking women to the busiest wildlife centre in Canada made up of a team of 50 staff & over 300 volunteers! Today, we’re celebrating the empowered women from all walks of life who continue saving wild lives. Happy #InternationalWomensDay!
Firouzeh Zarabi-Majd always wanted to be a cop, and she loved the job. Even when her fellow officers started harassing her, she said nothing at first. But eventually she had to speak up, and it cost her everything https://t.co/i9zDVSTR4Y
