@BrainClouds Hmmmm I had a friend helping with Encore when I was doing it and he did hella DPS so I'm not sure what your options are. I'm amazed the damn things not spawning more minotaurs we had so many extra protocols. Goddamn things should teleport to the other side of the wall.

Started pulling #MTG cards to make some draw decks to challenge myself to write some #dnd5e spells and I'm intrigued. Lots can't translate of course, but I think there will be interesting niche spells coming out of this, not to mention ones focused on influencing action economy.
BUT for #MTG do I make separate decks to draw inspo from based on card type (instant/sorc/ench) or based on color? Pokemon I'll probably do one deck, but I could also do by type there if I have enough. Just hoping this is a project that feels surmountable and will add up to more.
So writing is hard. Creating is hard. Especially when stressed. I've been going through my card collection and had an idea to ease me back into it, something that would be small and provide challenges to overcome. I'm going to make decks to draw from for #dnd5e spell inspo
My thought is I can put together some extra cards from #MTG that can be translated into spells or maybe items. I can also take #PokemonTCG and use the random moves as spell inspiration. I love making #dnd5e spells to begin with and I'm hoping this will help spark some creativity.
Tangentially, I'm taking some data science courses/certs to expand my options (especially for remote work). Anyone have insight on where its at right now? SQL? Azure? Analytics? Science? As much as I can cram in my skull??
Been dooming a bit due to still being unemployed soooo I didn't write anything this week. I think I'm going to just start small and do like a spell and/or monster every week / few days? Dress 'em up in a doc for members on Ko-Fi? Trying to figure it out.
There is just something about the skills traditional heroes have outside of being super and the need to keep the secret that feels important but the question is does having 3-6 extra abilities focused on your non-super hero life start to break the game too much?
Really wrackin my brain on how I want to approach my supers cypher setting mechanically. My original beta was made to take into account both your secret and super identities including getting abilities related to each. It works on paper but I am worried about one of two things:
I'm toying with the idea of building in secret identity building into the advancement track. Instead of 4 selections you make 5 and one is secret identity related. Or perhaps you can take 1 secret identity ability every 2 tiers?
