We need to first uphold the fact that Nigeria is a secular state…
Not Christian
Not Islamic
Take your bloody religious intolerance elsewhere.
Because are we all mad!!!
Nudes are overrated. Send me a video of you reading so that I can see if you’re literate enough to fight against the technofascist wave of illiterate anti-intellectualism.
I remember once tweeting that I would never have a child outside of wedlock— people were dragging me and saying never say never.
Whole time I meant I would abort. ✋🏽
NFF is the first body to cost Nigeria the 2026 FIFA World Cup
Next is Jose Peseiro who started badly by picking just two points in the first two game
Afterwards is Finidi George, who picked one point from the two games he was in charge
Eric Chelle came in to salvage the situation. In fact, if not for Eritrea that withdrew from the qualifiers, Nigeria wouldn't have made the playoffs
Leave Eric Chelle out of your blame game
Segun , why are you holding Daddy GO accountable?
Daddy GOs are part of the problem. They are the ones selling false hope and fake miracles to their congregations while reaping them off by collecting tithes and offerings.
The church should be a pillar of truth and a driver of good governance.
They massacred Christians inside church in owo, they did thesame in kwara during a live service, we all watched it here, I don’t know if you think you’re more Christian than these people, keep defending rubbish!
Christian communities have been cleared out by bandits, but you ppl are fighting for your Pastors to not have a say, or rather 'sit on the fence' on social & political issues.
Whether you choose to believe it or not, churches are directly involved in politics.
He was going to lead a 1 million man March under Jonathan. But under Buhari he was leading “prayer walks”.
Please eh, let’s not be hypocrites for the sake of the body of Christ.
Don't let anybody deceive you.
The church is one of the biggest organisations in this country. They have a role to play like mad.
Religious leaders are important in any fight, that's why we're calling them out.
RCCG's PR team has been trying very hard to rage-bait and gaslight Nigerians since morning, and I'm glad more people are beginning to see through it.
I say this with my full chest: RCCG has gradually turned into the religious political wing of the APC. I didn't stutter.
What's sad is that I say this as someone who spent years in the church. I honestly don't recognize it anymore.
In the clip being circulated, Pastor E.A. Adeboye said a lot of things, but when you strip away the words, it sounds very similar to the vague statement Davido came online to make a few days ago. At one point, he said, and I quote, "...in case there is any of you who can get across to them."
"Them" being the government.
The same government whose First Lady is an ordained RCCG pastor. The same government to which he arguably has one of the closest lines of access among Nigerian religious leaders.
RCCG's official page also replied to someone and said, and I quote: "An 84-year-old man should go lead a protest for your own future?... You are not ready."
Interesting.
An 84-year-old man is apparently too old to lead a peaceful protest, but not too old to remain General Overseer of one of the largest churches in the world.
You also pointed out that he joined a peaceful walk in 2020 under the directive of CAN.
So what exactly has changed?
Has Nigeria improved so dramatically since then that peaceful public advocacy is no longer necessary? Or are we supposed to believe that a man of his influence suddenly has no voice within CAN and no ability to push for similar action today?
As for CAN, I have a lot to say, but that deserves an entire post of its own.
What Nigerians will not accept is this attempt to gaslight people about the radio silence, political apathy, and consistent reluctance of many religious leaders to challenge power when it matters most.
Leadership comes with responsibility.
You cannot command the loyalty, attention, and obedience of millions of people and then expect people to keep quiet when you don’t speak up the right way.
The reason RCCG's PR team is suddenly working overtime is simple: Nigerians are becoming bolder. People are suffering more. And when suffering reaches a certain point, people stop whispering and start speaking their minds.
The same RCCG that many people say would not ordain you as a pastor if your spouse is not a member of the church is the same RCCG that ordained Remi Tinubu as a pastor despite her husband not being a Christian.
We're not calling out that church enough.
“Nnu Ego lay down by the roadside, thinking that she had arrived home. She died quietly there, with no child to hold her hand and no friend to talk to her. She had never really made many friends, so busy had she been building up her joys as a mother.”
I cried.😭
