When people in senior communal leadership view (or trollishly say that they view--same/same) women's intellectual capacities and interest in Torah learning and leadership as a challenge and a problem, not a gift from Hashem to our community, that's our demand problem right there.
Curious if #MuseSocial teams have started contingency plans for Twitter...
Budgeting for the $8/month blue check (or whatever else they decide to change and charge for...), drops in followers/engagement, leaving the platform altogether, or is it too early to tell?

We need to stop normalising the reliance on volunteer labor to produce museum offerings that centre marginalised people. It's really not the "power sharing" or "democratising" move we like to sell it as.
gut shabbos jews! for today's queer jewish history: we have one of the last three remaining lesbian bars in nyc, cubbyhole, which was opened and ran by tanya sanders, a lesbian jew who fled nazi germany in 1939 with her mother and was on the last boat into the us.
Baby formula shortage, mass shootings, coming for women's rights, attacking critical race theory, and "don't say gay"....this is the #Amerikkka we are living in right now. @POTUS@VP, your prayers are great, but I want #Action. What are you going to do about it???
The NYT vs Historians thing has been sitting heavy with me. I mean there are conversations to be had about citational practices, sure, and I have opinions, yes, but it feels gross to turn this into a battle of elite guilds. 1/n
My partner is goading me to start a podcast about people who left museums and how. Anyone interested in being interviewed?
He wants me to call it Happily After Museums
“As organization leaders, we may not have lived experience to be empathetic to our workers — many of whom have trouble paying rent, feel unsafe in our spaces, experience dynamics of power differently. We need to hear this hard truth.” — @MicahParzen@museumofus#aam2022@AAMers
Museum friends who have left the field: how did you find a different job? As sad as I am about potentially leaving the museum world, I cannot continue to stay at my current job, the museum job market is bleak and I don't even know where to begin to look for something else.
