@amass_jp I love that he’s chosen to do this. Though, I wish he’d find a regular group of guys to work w and try to bounce things off each other as a band. I feel like he’s a tremendous talent, but I haven’t been able to get into any of his Mammoth stuff.
I go off and on w Nathanial Ratliff & The Night Sweats. He’s kind of in that college, house band subgenre. Don’t listen to a lot of those bands. But it’s songs like these that make me tap my foot every time. Very Blues Brothers. https://t.co/Jmo9QX8uJu
I love Jose Gonzalez. He’s put out some beautiful solo music. But I miss the rhythms and beats of Junip. There are times though when he’s quite enough by himself. https://t.co/0Ri6KyCiB9
I really love King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard. They’re such a fun band. And they’re great for the younger listening audience. They play across all musical genres. https://t.co/Rmzmy5gJYz
@TheExtremeMusi1 …Pop these days has become its own genre. Studios look for faces who can carry a tune and get songwriters and musicians to manufacture music for them. I hate that The Beatles get lumped in with this. They were a very good rock n roll band that happened to be good looking (2)
@TheExtremeMusi1 I’ve never cared for how the words “pop band” get bandied about when it comes to The Beatles. Used to, pop just stood for popular. Yes. The Beatles in part became popular because of their looks. But it is their music that has the staying power... (1)
One of my all time favorite rock albums. Every song’s a classic from start to finish. Peak Bon era AC/DC. The title track’s my favorite. But then Rocker and Ride On are also personal favorites
AC⚡DC released Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap, December 17, 1976. Favorite track?
