@JoeBenKoe@sillysalem_@poonaple_ This character isn't unlikeable because it's popular!
It doesn't matter if she directly cause two abstractions, said that everyone was toys for her to play with, hurt feelings and sometimes even hurt physically others while never openning up till it was too late
@sillysalem_@JoeBenKoe@poonaple_ That's exactly why i say, as a lesson, it's clear, kind of important. As a viewer perspective? Confusing to say the least
@sillysalem_@JoeBenKoe@poonaple_ Like the show of The Penguin, he's clearly the bad guy, he does bad stuff right up to the end, but through the whole series, you wanna see him win because we feel and see him from moment 0. Unlike jax, who everything we know about her past comes when it's too late.
@_AzureStorm@poonaple_ Clicked post before i got to explain my point, i'm too tired to start again. In general i agree and see your point. It's a great one, but focusing on making it clear made the movie actively worse
@poonaple_ Not saying that a story can't follow a bad person btw. Just that writting wise, it's stupid to make a UNLIKEABLE bad person who the story is trying to warn against be the focal point of why you should feel bad or sad about the finale.
@poonaple_ How can you, as a writer, clearly show that a character is a bad person even saying "AS ALWAYS" but then put her as the focal and emotional center of the last episode of the show, how do you expect people to care when you go "remember the good times?"
@ShinigamiSoul@poonaple_ It is, i think that much is clear, but making the character that the show is telling you is dislikable and someone you're not supposed to be like, be the center of the emotional side of the whole final episode is a bad call. Not because it's justifying her, just bad writting call
@Tanner_Slavin I actually liked it, and told my brother i thought it was the best needledrop on the film, and a strongpoint of it because of what the song lyrics say, it just made sense in supergirl's story in the movie, looking back, yes, it's kind of corny but i can't say i didn't like it.
I'm so lost as to what people are on about with this movie
I thought it was GOOD! and my girlfriend LOVED IT!
About a 7.5/10 to me.
Won't blow your socks off, kinda generic, but it's a GOOD movie and a good time at the cinema.

Supergirl is just a Mid movie with the wasted potential of a great movie. Not the best, but far from the worse. I would watch it again but it doesn't have that "one" scene that makes me want to put it on repeat over and over again.
