@PeepsYGO@ChairBawater@MBTYuGiOh I do genuinely think that cards like synchro zone are actually sometimes a problem in modern yugioh? But for the most part agree there
@keithgreene_778 Sekka's light is pretty much a strictly better version of the pot of greed retrain you designed. It's tricky to make it less restrictive without making it broken, though.
@fedginator@TravisNextGen I guess it would have to be a like "You cannot special summon (from the extra deck) the turn you activate this cards effect, except 'Kewl Tune' monsters" lock. They do sometimes prints locks that harsh, I suppose.
@fedginator Summoning handtraps / rosewhip with cue matters? And adding reframing in sided games isn't great. Zalen is a generically useful synchro tool, but yeah, probably it would have been a KT if they locked harsher. Wish they were better w/ preserving weaknesses and keeping ceilings low
@Sh0esyTCG There's a few examples of things that are nearly that - utopia the lightning is bad, and double is sort of okay? People sometimes have played it relatively recently, and it does take the brick. I think it'd have to be close to 10k to see play without something else helping
@Sh0esyTCG It depends a bit on the attribute and exact summoning condition - obviously a link 1 vanilla could be pretty good depending on the text, as could another Moon of the closed heaven.
@fedginator It isn't necessarily the quantity so much as the experience? I know people complain a bunch about it feeling like the charmy minigame and the die roll being too important in combo mirrors or going second into combo in general. But yeah...
@PeepsYGO https://t.co/xyMFBKC1zW implies late july/august in the section about how they are managing the tellar points, but don't think there was a time otherwise mentioned.
@SkarlonYGO Is there a reason it couldn't have just been templated with "with a different name" instead? Weird that they added it but kind of cool, I suppose.
@fedginator I think mitsu in practice is fine - there's maybe some philosiphy quibbles I could make about the negate trap and that it's probably a little too easy to put an FTK into it, but I think it should be fine and basically fair even w/ more searchers, yeah.
