@PonderingCritt0 In the 1950’s, the Gros Michel banana, which was the main banana everyone knew, went nearly extinct due to banana plague. The Cavendish banana replaced that, and is still our banana. The original banana was sweeter, and is likely where the flavor of artificial banana originated
