This young man has taken advantage of that provision, which gives individuals, businesses, estates, factories, and communities the ability to generate up to 1 megawatt (1MW) of electricity without obtaining a license from the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC).

As a stakeholder in the sector, this could be another opportunity for the government to reduce its over-dependency on the national grid.

Kudos to this young man, he has surely gotten the grip on his house network, with a proper metering and monitoring system for his neighbours.

@tayoainafilms I totally agree with you, Laws should also be made 10% of your total land should be a lawn especially on the Island, it will help reduce flooding and erosion, as everyone has decided to use concrete pavement water can’t get into the ground and it’s leading to flooding.

@instablog9ja They should also mandate lawns especially for Lekki Axis, it will help with flood. Most houses have used concrete floors, paved blocks for the entire surroundings so water can’t get into the ground, this is leading to street flooding and erosion. Lagos needs to act fast

@CHULLY1010 Perfectly done, rebar were replaced, beams and columns introduced, concrete was removed and reinforced, I suspect they used high PSI of concrete. Foundation was also reinforced, with the Pillars detailed renovation, more extensive than building new. Great job 👏🏾
