Visitors to Times Square were in for a surprise on Nov. 27 as its famous billboards became a larger-than-life tribute to the true reason for Christmas: Jesus Christ.
The billboard takeover at Times Square in New York City was part of Light the World, an annual movement to bring people from all over the world together to share the light of Jesus Christ during the Christmas season. The beautiful nativity scene that emerged from the blackout was a tender reminder of the Savior’s birth and why we need His light and love in our lives.

How you deal with life’s trials is part of the development of your faith. Strength comes when you remember that you have a divine nature, an inheritance of infinite worth.
We should find great comfort in the fact that ordinary people who faithfully, diligently, and consistently do simple things that are right before God will be blessed in extraordinary ways.
To anybody struggling today, I say: Be hopeful, be happy, and smile. Remember that God is on your side. He is not an angry, vicious God trying to trip you. He is for you—not against you. He is your Father. He is anxious to do everything possible to bless you.
Jesus descended below all things in order to rise above all things. He expects us to follow His example. Yoked with Him, we can rise above all challenges, no matter how difficult they may be.
@RealMichaelKay Where’s Chad Green? Is he not available? He hasn’t pitched in over a week so he should be ready to go! Should have used him last night, or today as soon as Ottavino struggled. Horrific mismanagement with the bullpen by Boone over the past 24 hours #smh#Yankees
Love the Lord with a firm foundation of faith. Let it be the base upon which you stand and from which you climb. That love will provide power for you to love your neighbors and to help them.
The hope of the world is the Prince of Peace—our Creator, Savior, Jehovah, and Judge. He offers us the good life, the abundant life, and eternal life. Peaceful—even prosperous—living can come to those who abide His precepts and follow His pathway to peace.
In these troubling times, and when life becomes overwhelming, we may think that God has abandoned us and may think we are alone. We are not alone in our mortal journey. He understands each of us and is there for us at all times.
We can pray as Jesus prayed. We can strive to learn the knowledge that Jesus knew and knows. We have the scriptures, and we can study them, and we can learn to endure to the end. Jesus was and is our great Exemplar.
