My friend Jake Peacock is fundraising for Indiana Golf Foundation Inc. in honor of his mother, my dear friend and colleague, who is courageously battling cancer. Check out their @JustGiving page and please donate if you can. Thank you! #JustGiving https://t.co/ygaEvdH6hL
We beat measles right.....?

@CAPNIndiana Congratulations on what has been an amazing #CAPNICON2021. I applaud you for innovating and embracing the challenges of the pandemic. The virtual conference has been amazing and the speakers have been excellent. Well done! Thank you for improving #healthcare
@indiana_NP No data yet TMK..while not a live virus vaccine, not enough is yet known of the impact of mRNA vaccines on immune responses to say conclusively whether the COVID-19 mRNA vaccine could have a potential effect on TST or IGRA test results. CDC..
For healthcare personnel or patients who require baseline TB testing (at onboarding or entry into facilities) at the same time they are to receive a COVID-19 mRNA vaccine, CDC recommends:
•Perform TB symptom screening on all healthcare personnel or patients.
If benefits of vaccination outweigh the unknown risks of coadministration (tetanus for wound management, hepatitis A or measles during an outbreak) or to avoid delaying C-19 vaccine (LTC residents, HC personnel, HC onboarding) other vaccines may be administered in a shorter frame
According to the CDC, given the lack of data on the safety and efficacy of mRNA COVID-19 vaccines administered simultaneously with other vaccines, the vaccine series should be administered alone. Allow a minimum of 14 days pre and post administration with any other vaccine.
•If using IGRA, draw blood prior to COVID-19 mRNA vaccination.
•If using TST, place prior to COVID-19 mRNA vaccination.
•If COVID-19 mRNA vaccination has already occurred, defer TST or IGRA until 4 weeks after completion of 2-dose COVID-19 mRNA vaccination.
#Nurses have been experiencing severe shortages in PPE as they work on the frontlines to provide vital care to #COVID19 patients. Tell Congress to support the Medical Supply Chain Emergency Act to fully exercise the #DPANOW to #GetMePPE & keep RNs safe! https://t.co/4qPTIcNXrQ
Given the history of NPs rising to meet challenges in healthcare, imagine how much more effective we could be with fewer limitations to NP scope of practice.
Fewer barriers to NP practice = fewer patient barriers to care, pandemic or not, #closetheprovidergap
A shout out to all of the brave healthcare workers and first responders who continue to show up for patients around the world! Thank you for continuing to put your lives on the line for humankind. May you be blessed with strength, perseverance, peace, and wisdom from above.
