twice literally came from a survival show.. jyp gave them huge exposure even before they became a group. and if having multiple comebacks a year with all out promotion is “bare minimum” then try having 1-2 years of hiatus every comeback just to get a mini album..
@9WICEis that doesn’t change the fact that jyp gave them a platform for their exposure.. what part of that are you struggling to understand? public’s reaction has nothing to do with what the company gave to them
Rosé talks about her music being labeled as K-Pop in a recent interview:
“Evidently there is a part of me that is proud of being in this category called ‘K-Pop’, but I also sincerely hope that this label ‘K-pop’ will not become a factor of division for music. ‘K-Pop’ is a very powerful word and it is good in that sense, but I hope it will not turn into a discriminating factor (for music).”
@rasta9cy sweetie both blackpink and twice are from a big3 company.. i’m not denying the fact that BP had some privileges but yall need to stop acting as if twice came from a nugu company
The GRAMMYs are introducing their first Asian category at next year’s ceremony.
Best Asian Pop Music Performance will recognise K-Pop, J-Pop, C-Pop recordings that feature meaningful use of one or more Asian languages.
@9WICEis doesn’t change the fact that jyp gave them a reality show to give them exposure.. that’s the whole point of having a privilege. how the public responds doesn’t matter
Girlll dpmo, you know nothing about how much the girls struggled during their pre/debut and debut era. They literally went down to the streets promoting their survival show and their songs.
@uppercasehyo and you’re talking about how twice have to work hard? sweetie they should consider themselves lucky becthey have work because their company can give them enough songs to have multiple comebacks a year.. some groups can’t even work even if they wanted to
@uppercasehyo that survival show was literally being aired on national tv. that’s the big head start that you’re looking for sweetie.. smaller groups from smaller companies don’t have that. if you think jyp is struggling then what more those other smaller companies that aren’t part of big 3
@uppercasehyo being accepted by the public or not has nothing to do with the fact that the company gave them a platform and an opportunity to be known.. other groups don’t even have that privilege
black community are still in the same situation as they are decades ago and you really think they’re the reason why asians are thriving? yall never achieve anything for the betterment of your own community so y’all just taking credits for other communities success to feel better
