From Rock Bottom to Restart: My Brutal Trading & Gambling Story Thread

1/ Late 2024 I jumped into crypto like everyone else. Got wrecked by the chillguy hype. Lost most of my port chasing the next runner. Thought “okay, I’ll just grind harder.” Put in 10+ hours a day studying the market, trading shitters, doomscrolling CT. Still unprofitable for months. Felt like the market was against me and that I was honestly retarded while everyone else was making millions

2/ Then Feb 2025 something clicked. Started consistently pulling 4-5 figure months as an result of implementing strategy and also using the tools provided by Axiom. By May I was sitting close to a 100k net worth. First time in my life I felt like I’d made it. But on the side I’d started gambling small… then a 12k max win hit. That single dopamine explosion fed the inevitable downfall.

3/ From there it spiraled fast. 1k-3k bets daily. Chasing losses. Telling myself “just one more session to get even.” By June I was broke. Then came the worst part — borrowing from friends and shady lender apps. Debt kept climbing until I was staring at -30k in August 2025. Felt like my life was over.

4/ Right when it was darkest, my mandatory 1-year military service started. No phone, no charts, no casino apps. Just discipline, early mornings, and time to think. I used every single paycheck to pay back every cent I owed. Friends, lenders, everyone. Cleared it all before I got out.

5/ Now I’m freshly home. Zero in the bank. Zero excuses. But I have something I didn’t have before — real humility, real discipline, and zero tolerance for my old dumb habits. The game isn’t over. It’s round 2. Starting from absolute zero with clearer eyes.

6/ If you’re reading this and you’re in the spiral — trading losses, gambling addiction, debt — know that you can still claw back. It’s ugly, it takes time, but it’s possible. I’m living proof. Appreciate every lesson 2025 beat into me. Dont ever gamble. End of thread.
