End goal in religion is to win personal rewards. Mormonism's rewards include becoming a god over new planets. They often claim they don't believe in hell, but @HollandJeffreyR 's assurances notwithstanding, fakers and hypocrites can expect lashes,

@religiongal It's too bad when the New York Times outdoes a story where there should be considerable local expertise. @sltrib how long are you going to let Stack phone it in with poor and weak reporting?

@celticrose67@religiongal If not now, when? Only part of the story is being told.
Howard's comments from 2016 would have been included by anyone who had a zeal for good reporting. Stack has lost a step. Stockton knew when he'd lost a step. Stack is slow.

@BenjaminEPark Is the Wilkinson era making a comeback? Gilbert is on the fast track to earn a spot as one of the fifteen and joining the tontine, last man standing at the end.
No coffee. No tea. No LGBTQ support or advocacy.
Not on my watch.

Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated.
Ironic considering how much the #LDS#fraud continues to yield to social pressure and make changes big and small in an attempt to appease their users/faithful believers.

Liberal #mormons face an uphill battle. The church might yield to social pressure, eventually, but not without a lot of kicking and screaming first. The #fundamentalists are holding the hammer to drive the nails. #lds#fraud

That book's influence extended to RLDS @CofChrist historian Richard Howard moving out of the "Smith was never a polygamist camp." Instead shifting to if Smith did coerce young girls and the wives of other men into his bed, he was exceeding his priesthood authority. #LDS /2 end
Linda King Newell, along with co-author Valeen Tippets Avery, in their book "Mormon Enigma" and the precursor essay "The Lion and the Lady" led many to see deeper into the lechery at work in early mormonism. /1

Liberal #mormon squeaks about poll showing 38% of brothers and sisters in the #LDS pews are Christian Nationalists. #fraud#theocracy@TaylorPetrey

@ldsfootnotes built in perfectionism can become debilitating. Those who have the easiest time with it are the liars and sociopaths. The second anointing stands at the apex. Those who accept that ritual, and assuming Jesus doesn't show up, are only in for a magnification of imposter's syndrome.
@mormons_speak@Ch_JesusChrist I read the faithful's subreddit every day. I see missionaries come and go, and sometimes follow their posting history that often reveals they're porn hounds. I can't help but think I've also read this missionaries posts before being "called to serve." What a tangled web of liars.
@mormons_speak@Ch_JesusChrist Any morality the #LDS church teaches is overrated. Members learn to lie as much as anything. Missionary confronted about asking an 11-year old for nudes via online chat shows the wolves will rip the sheep to shreds. Kirton and McConkie are there to guard the big pile o' cash.
