What a powerful verse. When Job hit rock bottom and felt like nothing would ever get better, God promised in Job 8:21, “I will fill your mouth with laughter and your lips with shouts of joy.” That same promise is for you.
Joy is on the way. Breakthroughs, healing, and new opportunities are coming. God is about to do something so incredible and unexpected that you’ll overflow with gratitude and laughter. The heavy days won’t last; your sorrow will turn to joy, and your mourning into dancing.
"To me, being a Lobo is more of a lifestyle, it's a way of living. It's being tough, it's pushing through adversity, finding a way to get the job done. It's a community. That's how we are over here and I wouldn't change it for the world. I'm a Lobo for life." - Haynes King.

Steve Kerr on his biggest concern about America Today
“When I finished college almost forty years ago, if you went to school and got a degree, you could get a job and you could buy a house. Now that's out of reach for most people between student debt and home prices and the economy slanted toward the very, very top one per cent. We don't really have a middle class, and we don't have what used to represent the American Dream, which was: you can do better than your parents. We're going backward on all that. Our family is lucky. I'm in a position where my family can live well. But there are millions of people out there, young people who are looking at the horizon and saying, "I did everything I was told I needed to do, and I can't buy a house, and I can't chase my dream." Think about what that means for the stability of communities and cities and a whole country.”

Do the hood grannies still run in home daycares? Because baby… they used to be EVERYTHING.
Them babies was fed, potty trained, knew their ABCs, and got fussed at just enough to stay in line. They might’ve had a little cereal in their bottle, watched Maury all day, and about 12 kids in a two bedroom, but they were loved, safe, and somebody was watching them like a hawk.
And it was AFFORDABLE!
We lost the recipe when Ms Linda stopped keeping kids.
Having a Deep South black grandmother was a cheat code for my generation. I miss when I spent my weekends and madear and wake up to the smell of rice, pork chops with homemade gravy…..
